MT. SINAI
- The annual "parade of flags" will be on display on July 4 at Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Frank Melville Memorial Park hosts a “Wind Down Sundays” summer music series, which will feature Jack’s Waterfall at the Red Barn at 5:30 p.m.

Break Down Reason will be playing at Velvet Lounge on Saturday starting at 9 p.m.
Fine Arts
The Joseph Reboli show at Gallery North in Setauket opens Friday with a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The show itself runs through July 11.
“Coney Island and Jones Beach: Empires by the Sea” is on display at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook – which recently opened its renovated carriage gallery – through December.
PORT JEFFERSON
Live Music
At Port Jazz this weekend, you’ll find cover bands Rock Stars from Mars (Friday at 9 p.m.) and Somethin in Between (Saturday at 10 p.m.).
Entertainment
Head to Theater Three in Port Jefferson for a comedy show to benefit Response of Suffolk County, an organization that runs a suicide/crisis hotline. Showtime is at 7 p.m. and tickets, which includes a VIP reception, are $75.
In addition to Friday’s performance, Saturday at Theater Three will feature the Long Island Comedy Festival. Showtime is at 8 p.m. and tickets are $30.
Fine Arts
“Sizzle,” an open juried art exhibit, will be on display from July 6 through 14 at the Port Jefferson Village Center.
Food & Drink
- Stop in to Vine 2 Wine in Port Jefferson for a wine-and-cheese pairing event from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
SOUND BEACH
Live Music
Head to Is-a-Love Cafe on Saturday for a night of music under the stars starting at 8 p.m. Bring your beach chairs.
