Joe Reboli’s paintings and their vivid portrayal of the Long Island coastal experience touched many lives. With equal regard to light, color, form, and content, his paintings are nostalgic, wistful, and carry a tangible weight. At the crossroads of vintage and contemporary, and with a breathless eye for detail, his compositions remain strongly in the viewers mind, and evoke a sense of contentment, of home. “His images are not vehicles by which he communicates his relationship to mankind, Rather, his paintings are about the truths inherent in the immediacy between the artist and the world he sees” (Deborah Johnson).

Join us and savor the palpable landscapes, careful brushwork, and lively structures of Joseph Reboli’s Long Island. The weekend following the exhibition marks the 9th Annual Gallery North Joseph Reboli Wet Paint Festival. Save the date for this tribute to the late Joseph Reboli, and observe some of Long Island’s top plein air painters as they capture the historic and natural beauty of the area.
