Three Village Agenda: Woodlands Folk Festival, Historic Tours

School's out for the summer and kids are running free. Gather up your family and find a local event that everyone can enjoy. 

THREE VILLAGE

Festivals

• The Woodlands Folk Festival, now in its fourth year, is set for Saturday between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. It’s got a little of something for everyone – open mic, songwriting competition, singalongs, and of course a host of live musical performances honoring the folk genre.

Outdoor

• West Meadow Beach and Stony Brook Beach are the go-to spots for summer fun – as long as the weather holds up, of course. Don’t forget your Town of Brookhaven parking permit.

• At West Meadow Beach on Saturday, adults can enjoy a birding walk starting at 8 a.m. to learn all about the local bird species. Registration is required; contact egerle@brookhaven.org to do so.

Cultural

• The Three Village Historical Society will offer a walking tour in historic Stony Brook village on Sunday at 2 p.m. Click here for more details.

• The “Songwriters Showcase” at Mt. Sinai Congregational Church will host Debra Lynne and Pete Colletta on Saturday at 8 p.m.

• Check out the Port Jefferson Farmer’s Market on Sunday near the Frigate’s parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Vine 2 Wine is hosting a free wine tasting with cheese pairing on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
