Partial Closure of Stony Brook Road for Friday
There will be no access to Stony Brook Road from Route 25A.
Drivers who use Stony Brook Road should be aware that a section of the road will be closed Friday for paving.
The road will close between the Stony Brook University entrance and Rt. 25A. The work is part of a project to resurface the road and is expected to be completed before the start of the fall semester.
A statement from the Brookhaven Highway Department said there will be no access to Stony Brook Road from Route 25A during this process. Access from Route 347 will be limited to the South Drive entrance to Stony Brook University.
