Pikiell Nets 100th Victory as SBU Hoops Coach

In a 76-53 win over Cornell this week, the Stony Brook men's basketball team not only improved to 5-2 on the season so far, but it also handed head coach Steve Pikiell his 100th victory as the Seawolves' coach. His record stands at 100-120  with a .455 win percentage, but since the start of the 200-010 season he is 64-39 (.621). Freshman Jameel Warney scored a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds, and junior Anthony Jackson totaled a game-high 20 points in the win.

Warney Named Rookie of the Week

For his efforts against Canisius and UConn last week, Jameel Warney was named Rookie of the Week by the America East conference. Against Canisius, Warney scored 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting and added seven rebounds. He also had eight points, a career-high 11 rebounds and two blocks at UConn.

Women's Hoops Wins Two Straight

Sabre Proctor scored a game-high 16 points against Robert Morris in the Seawolves' 56-48 win on Wednesday. "We did a nice job keeping our composure and finishing what we started," head coach Beth O'Boyle said about the Robert Morris game. Chikilra Goodman added six points, four assists and a team-high nine rebounds against Robert Morris. The Seawolves have a 3-2 start for the first time since the 2005-06 season, when the team finished with 20 wins and a trip to the WNIT. The team also defeated NJIT, 59-34, on Nov. 25. Jessia Previlon finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

The rezoning is for the acres of undeveloped residential land across from Ann Maries Farm stand,Read More extending down to the wooded area on 25A. A one way entrance would be placed by Village Automotive and a one way exit would come out on N. Country Rd. adjacent to the first residential house.

With declining enrollment and cuts to programs for our kids they only ones making out are teachers and staff with too generous salaries and benefits. Vote no on Tuesday!

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does itRead More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.

everyone should research what all the school administrators are raking in and the multple levels ofRead More staff that exists at TVCSD. It is beyond reasonable to have salaries at that level and multiple administrators and assistants and directors and assistant directors and chairman etc. Teachers earn their fair share!
