Seawolves' Baseball Takes Conference Title

Baseball team wins second America East title in three years.

The Stony Brook University baseball team beat the University of Maine twice in three days in the America East Tournament, most recently on Friday, to pull off its second America East title in three years.

Led behind the bat of Willie Carmona (four RBI) and the arm of James Campbell (four innings of scoreless relief), the No. 1 Seawolves took down the No. 4 Black Bears by a score of 13-6.

After earning a save in Thursday night's 7-4 win over Binghamton, Campbell surrendered two hits in his outing on Friday and was awarded the tournament's Most Outstanding Player honor.
