Philadelphia Eagles Sign Stony Brook Lineman Michael Bamiro

Offensive Tackle Michael Bamiro signed shortly after declaring as a free agent.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Stony Brook University Offensive Tackle Michael Bamiro Tuesday after he recently declared himself an NFL free agent.

Bamiro was set to play his senior season for the Seawolves but the NCAA denied him another year of eligibility.

The 6-foot-8, 335-pound lineman was also ruled ineligible for the recent supplemental draft because he was not an underclassman. No players were taken in this year's supplemental draft, however. The Eagles announced the signing via their Twitter account Tuesday.

The lineman is now the fourth Seawolf to sign a deal with an NFL team after the 2012 season. Top prospect Miguel Maysonet is the other currently in an NFL camp as the running back was signed by the Cleveland Browns at the end of May.
