Three Village Students Recognized at Art and Writing Awards Competition

Outstanding written and artistic pieces created by students in the Three Village Central School District have garnered recognition at this year’s Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition. Thirteen district students were honored in the contest and four Gold Key winners will now have their submissions judged at the national level.

This year, more than 230,000 works of art and writing were submitted. At the regional level, approximately 7-10 percent of the works submitted receive Gold Keys, 10-15 percent receive Silver Keys and 15-20 percent receive Honorable Mentions.  Past winners of this award include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford, Joyce Carol Oates, Stephen King, John Updike and more.
