Taking Back Democracy from Corporations
For the second film in its series on the impact of corporate money in our democracy, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook invites all who are interested to join in watching The Story of Citizens United v. FEC: Why Democracy Only Works When People Are in Charge. The movie explores the history of the American corporation and corporate political spending, and ends with a call to amend the U.S. Constitution to confirm that people—not corporations—make the decisions in a democracy. Join us at 380 Nicolls Road, E. Setauket. After the showing, there will be a discussion of the film and what we can do to reclaim our democracy.
