Truck Burns on Nicolls Road
Setauket firefighters extinguished the fire "within minutes," according to reports.
Firefighters responding to a report of a large flatbed truck on fire on Nicolls Road just south of Pond Path on Tuesday night found the cab of the truck fully engulfed in flames, according to a fire department spokesman. The Setauket Fire Department had the flames under control "within minutes," the spokesman said. No one was injured and the damaged truck was towed away immediately following the fire.
