Tom was a local boy who fell through the cracks. He didnt have to end up this way. But at age 12 I think his fate was already sealed and its a damn shame. He didnt have a good father figure there for him. And his mother was too busy working nights. And it should not be like this. Our society should not allow some of us to collapse into self destruction while we all ignore it. He had a lot of bad luck leading up to self destruction. One can only pray for him to wake up from the horror and claw his way back to the potential of who he could have once been. Its not too late Tom! Come back!
