Crime Report: Police Make Multiple DWI, Drug-Related Arrests
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Christopher Ruiz, 24, of Centereach, was arrested Dec. 28 in Setauket and charged with first-offense DWI, a misdemeanor. Police stopped him on southbound Nicolls Road at 12:50 a.m. for allegedly failing to stay in his lane.
Bryan Day, 28, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested Dec. 28 in Setauket and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Day allegedly possessed prescription drugs on Pond Path at 7 p.m.
Robert Aris, 49, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested Dec. 28 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Aris was driving in the parking lot of Stony Brook University Hospital while intoxicated at 7 p.m.

Arthur Peragine, 34, of Lake Grove, was arrested Dec. 24 in South Setauket and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Peragine allegedly took a TV from Target at approximately 2 p.m.
Police are investigating an incident of fourth-degree criminal mischief in which a window was broken at Countryside Animal Hospital at noon on Dec. 23.

Police are investigating an incident of fourth-degree criminal mischief in which a 2012 Nissan Altima was scratched between 10:45 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Dec. 23.
Police are investigating an incident of petty larceny in which an iPhone was stolen from a house party on Harmony Lane between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Dec. 14. The incident was reported Dec. 22.
