Crime Report: Nearly $350 in Groceries Stolen
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• William Petraglia, 53, of Centereach, was arrested on April 17 and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree. According to police, Petraglia made threatening phone calls to someone
• Thomas Lyttle, of Smithtown, was arrested on a petty larceny charge on April 13 after he reportedly stole a pot from Marshal's on Route 347 in Stony Brook.
• Mina Jin, 20, of Stony Brook, was arrested on April 11 around 6:45 p.m. after police said she stole over $345 worth of groceries from Waldbaum's in Stony Brook. She was arrested on a petty larceny charge.
• Amy Smith, 20, of Stony Brook, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and possession of a hypodermic instrument – both misdemeanors – as well as an unlawful possession of marijuana charge, which is a violation. Police said she was sitting inside a 1998 Chevy Malibu on Gould Road when police smelled drugs inside the car.
• David Golden, 25, of Stony Brook, was arrested on two petty larceny charges on April 16 after police said he stole two vacuums from Wal-Mart on separate occasions.
• Robert Vanvelsor, 53, of Setauket, was arrested on April 15 after he reportedly threw a rock through the window of a 2003 Dodge Caravan around 8 p.m. He was charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
• Keri Ann Krasinski, 44, of E. Setauket, was arrested on April 16 around 7:30 p.m. and charged with petty larceny. Police said she stole cosmetic items val.ed under $60 from Wal-Mart.
