Suffolk police are investigating a report of gunshots in the vicinity of Upper Sheep Pasture Road and Debbie Court in East Setauket on Tuesday night.
A police spokesperson said a call for rescue came in at 8:46 p.m.
Upper Sheep Pasture Road is closed between Cinderella Lane and Debbie Court.
