A driver traveling southbound on Pond Path lost control of the vehicle and flipped over on Monday around 5 p.m., police and fire officials said.
Just north of the the area where Pond Path forks into Mark Tree Road, a Setauket Fire Department spokesman said the car flipped over and came to rest in front of a home at 418 Pond Path.
Setauket first responders treated the driver, who was pulled from the vehicle through the passenger side window and eventually taken to a nearby hospital, according to fire department information.

The accident uprooted several trees on the property and caused minor damage to the front porch of the home.
