Community Update

Normally I wouldn't respond to unnamed comments who are uninformed and unkind. However, I am afraid your readers might fall prey to their nonsense. My wife (Gloria) and I spent countless hours with Mrs. Melville for about ten years. If anyone knows Ward Melville's "vision" any better I would like to meet them. On closed businesses: people are in business or they are playing with a hobby. Welcome Home closed because the owner was trying to operate three stores and she worked very hard at it. I might add, it takes a firm hand to maintain the beauty and quality of the Stony Brook Village Center. Compare Stony Brook to any LI community. Gloria and her board are very good at keeping the Melville vision alive. Thank you!
