Ross Reisner To Be Remembered at Service on Sunday

Reisner was fatally shot at his Setauket home on Tuesday.

A remembrance service for Ross Reisner, the accomplished horse trainer shot to death in his Setauket home last Tuesday night, will be held on Sunday in Queens.

Newsday reports that a service will take place at 3:30 pm. at Sinai Chapels in Fresh Meadows. The funeral home also told Newsday that services for Reisner are still incomplete.

Police said Reisner died at Stony Brook University Hospital on Tuesday night after a shooter or shooters fired multiple shots through a side window in his home on Upper Sheep Pasture Road. Police have not identified a suspect but Daily News reported that detectives are seeking a long-time friend for questioning.

Reisner, 50, has been remembered as someone who "could light up a room."

"He was sort of the one who was always cracking a joke or saying something that made people laugh. That's how I'm going to remember him," said Bobby Ginsberg, Reisner's childhood friend and business partner.
