Local Woman Wins $25K Lottery Prize

Winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven store in Farmingville.

Kristin Masotto of East Setauket is $25,000 richer, after winning a New York Lottery scratch-off game, the Lottery announced Monday.

The scratch-off ticket she purchased was a "Multiply Your Money!" game that Masotto purchased at a 7-Eleven store on Horseblock Road in Farmingville.

Lottery proceeds support education in New York State. The Lottery said in a statement that it contributed $2.9 billion in the 2011-2012 fiscal year to school districts – accounting for roughly 15 percent of state aid.

So, essentially that first residential home is being written off as the price of doing business.…Read More There goes that property value. Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.
