Your guide on where to meet Santa to take pictures before Christmas Day arrives.

The countdown to Christmas is underway, so you better make sure to see Santa Claus before its too late. 

Taking a photo with Santa Claus while he visits down is an age-old tradition that sets the mood for the holiday season. It allows children of all ages to spend a moment to share their special holiday wishes and create a memory. 

Here are a list of places where you can take your children to take a photo with Santa Claus before Christmas Day arrives: 

  • Smith Haven Mall
    Santa Claus has arrived at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove for the holiday season, as the jolly old man is ready to listen to those boys and girls who have been good this year. 
    Santa will be in the mall's center court beginning at 10 a.m. everyday until Christmas Eve. Hours may vary slightly by day. 

  • St. James General Store
    There must be holiday magic in that air as you and your child to step back in time to visit Santa Claus at St. James General Store, located at 516 Moriches Road in St. James. 
    Santa Claus will stop by to take pictures with children on Saturdays and Sundays, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., until Dec. 22. Don't miss him

  • Walt Whitman Mall 
    If you are willing to take a short drive to Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station, Santa Claus will be available daily to take photos through Dec. 24, hours vary by day. 
    Parents are warned that Santa does take a break for lunch and dinner daily. 

Pet Night
Have a beloved family dog, cat or pet who wants to see Santa too? Don't miss Pet Night on Sunday, Dec. 15.  at Smith Haven Mall, from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.,  and Walt Whitman Mall, from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Saks 5th Avenue wing. 

All pets should be kept on a leash or caged prior to their visit with Santa.
