Chris Gobler, a professor in Stony Brook University's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, recently joined Citizens Campaign for the Environment (CCE), Suffolk County Legis. Sarah Anker and Brookhaven National Lab for their Passport to Green Earth Day conference.
BNL partnered with CCE to focus on how climate change will impact the future of Long Island.
“Our future, and our children’s future, will be created by the decisions we make today,” Anker said. “It is important that we develop good, environmental policy to ensure the sustainability of Long Island.”
The summit followed a showcasing of green technology vehicles. Speakers at the summit included Congressman Tim Bishop and Climate Change Coordinator Boland Nielson.
