Stan Brodsky

Gallery North is pleased to present the work of contemporary New York artist, Stan Brodsky. A long Island resident since 1965, Brodsky is known for his passionate, expressive style and rich emotional color. After receiving a doctorate in art education from Teachers College, Columbia University, Brodsky was on the faculty at C.W. Post College. After 31 years he has retired and now holds the title of Professor Emeritus.

At the age of 89, Stan Brodsky remains a compelling mentor to his students, encouraging them to experiment with color, light and their own creativity by setting the example with his exciting, and intensely colorful oil paintings on canvas, work on paper and richly layered monoprints.

Brodsky is a prolific artist finding inspiration from nature, his travels, and interest in Abstract Expressionism. Many articles, films and publications have showcased his skilled approach to painting. Stan Brodsky is represented by June Kelly Gallery in New York City. His exceptional body of work is included in many public and private collections throughout the United States.
