On Saturday, November 17, 2012 The Island Budokan Karate Dojo (www.ibkarate.com )will be holding our 18th Invitational tournament at the World Gym Complex at 384 Marktree Road in East Setauket.  Beginning at 9am, the tournament will feature competitions in both forms and fighting and schools across several disciplines will be represented.  Free clinics will be offered throughout the tournament to those who wish to learn about Japanese arts and culture.

As the goals of the Island Budokan include teaching our students to be caring, compassionate members of society, we will again be donating a portion of the proceeds to a local charity. This year we will again be supporting Little Angel Fund (visit http://www.littleangelfund.org for more information). The Little Angel Fund consists of parents helping parents through a difficult time in their lives. Their purpose is to make life a little easier and more comfortable for the premature and seriously ill infants and their families, while they are in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, after they graduate from the NICU and to act as a source of help and support for the bereaved. They are dedicated to supporting, educating, and caring for the families throughout the NICU experience.

Many local businesses are supporting us in our efforts by advertising in our program and donating many beautiful baskets and gift certificates to raffle. We hope to surpass last year’s donation of $2,300.

I agree..maybe that is one of the reasons road pavement safety lines and striping esp. in the 3VRead More area are virtually non existent!! VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION that leaves the TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN liable involving accidents and fatalities. I think the new T.O.B. highway super, (D. L.) should make this a priority!

So, essentially that first residential home is being written off as the price of doing business.Read More There goes that property value. Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

The rezoning is for the acres of undeveloped residential land across from Ann Maries Farm stand,Read More extending down to the wooded area on 25A. A one way entrance would be placed by Village Automotive and a one way exit would come out on N. Country Rd. adjacent to the first residential house.

Can you tell us where this property is? An address or street name?
