VIDEO: Expanded 9/11 Memorial Park Nearing Completion
Crews have been working for weeks to prepare the new segment of the memorial for unveiling on Sept. 11.
The Setauket Fire Department's expanded 9/11 memorial park will be unveiled Sunday at its annual ceremony of remembrance. Crews have been working for the past several weeks to complete the project. The was designed by students at Ward Melville High School and features three pieces of steel from the World Trade Center set in a wooded enclave off of Nicolls Road, and the expansion is located adjacent to that area, preserving the original design.
