SBU holds first sports medicine symposium; Joe Nathan Field unveiled.
1. Stony Brook University hosts its first annual at the Wang Center. Much of it's dedicated to health care professionals, but coaches, athletic directors and athletes are encouraged to stop in at 4 p.m. for the discussion portion of the event.
2. Emma S. Clark Library always has something going on, and tomorrow afternoon, it has a which stars Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams and Oscar-winning supporting actor Christian Bale. It's free to the public.
3. Stop by a free lecture held by Dr. Doug Tallamy, the chair of entomology and wildlife ecology at the University of Delaware. He'll "Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife With Native Plants" at Avalon Park.

4. It's the deadline for the Three Village School District's Summer Enrichment Program, which is available to students entering kindergarten through grade nine. Classes include Math Games, Origami, Summer Cuisine and Creative Writing.
5. Stop by the new Joe Nathan Field on the campus of Stony Brook University for the baseball team's first-ever game there. The brand new FieldTurf facility was made possible by a $500,000 grant from Nathan, a former Seawolf who has gone on to pitch 11 seasons in the majors. First pitch is set for noon.
