Five Things You Can Still Get at Borders

As Patch has , Borders is closing its doors and liquidating the contents of its stores. At the Stony Brook location, the going-out-of-business sale is in full swing. We stopped by to see what you can still find at the store.

1. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and other fiction titles. Fiction is 20 percent off, and there's a whole table full of the popular Stieg Larsson book.

2. Magazines in most genres. These are 40 percent off.

3. Nonfiction aplenty. Books on psychology, business, the sciences and arts, computers, cooking, travel and more are on sale as well.

4. The future. Calendars for 2012 are a bargain at 30 percent off.

5. Kids' stuff, including picture books, toys and games. Items like I Spy Quest, Legos, and puzzles are on sale at various discounted prices.

And now for three things you can't get at Borders:

• A beverage to accompany your shopping experience. The café is closed to customers.
• A bag for your purchases. As of Friday, the store has run out of bags to carry out your items.
• A refund. As the entire chain is closing, everything in the store is final sale.
