A longtime fixture in the Stony Brook Village Center, Welcome Home of Stony Brook, has closed its doors. The shop's former owner said it closed April 30 but declined to comment otherwise.
Storefronts in the village center tend to not stay vacant for long. For instance, it was a matter of three months when Irish Elegance left its storefront and the women's boutique Mint opened its doors in its place.
