This Week in Real Estate: Open Houses and Recent Home Sales

Local Realtors put area homes on display, and a look at recently sold homes in the Three Village area.

Is it your resolution to buy a new home, or move back to Three Village? A large variety of homes are being shown this weekend in the Three Village area to kick off the new year, including condos, capes, and colonials. Homes for sale in this week's open house selection range in price from $259,900 to $4,499,000, according to the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island. Saturday, January 8

  • 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: 322 Oxhead Road, Stony Brook, $259,900. Six-bedroom, three-bathroom Cape with eat-in kitchen, den/family room, and two-car garage.
  • 11:20 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: 212A Lower Sheep Pasture Road, Setauket, $629,900. Four-bedroom, three-bathroom postmodern home with home office and oak flooring, built in 2007 on one acre of property.
  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.: 23 Wheeler Road, Old Field, $1,699,000. Five-bedroom, 2.555-bathroom colonial with full basement, two fireplaces, three-car garage, in-ground pool, and beach rights.
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: 2 Antler Lane, S. Setauket, $298,000. Three-bedroom, one-bathroom ranch with recently renovated granite kitchen, new bathroom, large bedrooms, new floor, and recess lights.
  • 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: 18 Three Village Lane, Setauket, $429,000. Four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom ranch in a family neighborhood in walking distance to the university, with a full finished basement and in-ground pool.

  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.: 28 Sycamore Circle, Stony Brook, $489,000. Three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom colonial with solar hot water, large den, master suite, and manicured yard.
  • 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.: 17 Marion Avenue, Stony Brook, $349,990. Three-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom colonial with full basement, formal dining room, and park-like fenced yard with patio and brick barbecue.

Recently Sold Homes:

  • Dec. 16 : 14 Surrey Lane, East Setauket. This four-bedroom, 2.55-bathroom ranch with home office and full finished basement sold for $450,000.
  • Dec. 28:  12 Woodhull Road, East Setauket. This five-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom colonial with a full finished basement and two-car garage sold for $679,000.
  • Dec. 28: 2 Daniel Way, Setauket. This five-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom Victorian with a home office, two fireplaces, and wood flooring sold for $820,000.
