Budget Instant Print Shuts; Owners Say 'It's Time'

Printer is closing after more than 30 years in business.

Janette Handley and her husband Edmund opened Budget Instant Print in 1978 and have now decided to retire and close up shop, according to a story published Thursday in The Village Times Herald.

In an interview with the newspaper Handley said, "It's time," and said the business has changed and shop owners need to stay attuned to the adjustments needed.

According to The Village Times Herald, the shop's active customer base will be transferred to in East Setauket, owned by Liz and John Miastkowski, a couple the Handleys have known a long time.

Handley also called for people to use local businesses for their needs. "People want a community and they've got to think twice when they spend their dollars — to try to spend them in the community," she said.
