Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Coming to Stony Brook Village Center

New store will occupy the space formerly home to Talbots.

Upscale men's clothing store Jos. A. Bank Clothiers will soon open a store in the Stony Brook Village Center.

The store will take over the 3,118-square-foot space formerly occupied by Talbots, which closed last October as one of 100 U.S. stores that company shuttered.

A construction permit in the building's window identifies the incoming tenant as Jos. A. Bank, and a job listing on the company's website advertises a store manager position for a Stony Brook Village Center location.

Neither the company nor the Ward Melville Heritage Organization, which manages the Stony Brook Village Center, returned requests for comment.

According to its website, Jos. A. Bank sells tailored clothing, casual clothing, accessories and footwear for men. The company has more than 500 stores in the U.S.
