In Season: What's Available at Local Farm Stands

Spring is in full swing, which means plants and produce are on people's minds as the weather becomes nicer and the days grow longer.

Local farm stands, including Ann Marie's Farm Stand and Pantaleon's Farm, are reaping the benefits of the season. Each farm stand has different products to offer to customers.

Here's a rundown of what they've got.

Ann Marie's Farm Stand:
-- Produce: freshly grown asparagus and spinach; strawberries and sugar snap peas expected soon
-- other produce including tomatoes, potatoes, and lettuce
-- freshly made horseradish
-- Flowers: begonias, New Guinea impatiens, marigolds, petunias, celosia, lantana, verbena, salvia, coleus, geraniums

Pantaleon's Farm:
-- Vegetable and herb seedlings: cabbage, peppers, tomatoes, parsley, cilantro, thyme, sage, lavender, cucumbers, eggplant, pole beans, red lead lettuce and romaine lettuce;
-- flowers and plants: guzmania, kalanche, azalea, peace lilies, fasciata, croton, lilacs, geranium, petunia, New Guinea impatiens, clematis, evergreens and magnolias
-- mulch
