Deals on the Menu at Local Eateries for Restaurant Week

Four area restaurants offering prix fixe meals during annual event.

, , and are among more than 200 eateries taking part in the sixth annual Long Island Restaurant Week, which runs until Nov. 13.

The deal includes a three-course prix fixe meal for $24.95, except for Saturdays after 7 p.m.

Of the 247 restaurants participating, 181 are return participants from last year.

“It’s the most we’ve ever seen returning. Restaurants who have done this in the past have seen what a good promotion it is for them,” said Tara Berkoski, a spokeswoman for the PR firm WordHampton, which organized of the event.

According to WordHampton, in its first year Restaurant Week hauled in $2,848,200 in revenue for restaurants and $150,753 in tax revenue for the state.
