Asian Bakery Coming to Stony Brook's Smith Point Plaza
Bakery to replace Jasmine Garden Spa, which closed in 2012.
Customers hungry for Asian cuisine and groceries have plenty of options in the Three Village area, what with two food markets already open in town, a third grocery on the way and many eateries that cater to lovers of this cuisine.
Soon you'll have one more option: an Asian-style bakery, slated to open in the Smith Point Plaza in Stony Brook on Nesconset Highway.
Signs in the door show construction is under way for the new bakery, which replaces Jasmine Garden Spa.
The spa closed early in 2012 after five employees were arrested and charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.
