It's not uncommon for a sushi restaurant to concoct a roll named after the town in which the restaurant is located. That's just what Domo Sushi in East Setauket has done, and it's a heck of a roll.
The Dish: East Setauket roll ($15)
What's Inside: This crunchy, six-piece roll is loaded with crispy lobster, scallion, cucumber, jalapeno, and wasabi pea crust, topped with aji amarillo key lime cream and eel sauce. Plus, it even comes with a lobster claw.
Eat This Because: Domo is known for adventurous sushi, and the East Setauket roll falls squarely in that category. It's a sophisticated mix of flavors with a mild kick to it, but we'll leave it up to the good people of East Setauket to decide whether it lives up to its name.
Side Dish: Order a bubble tea ($3.50) for a taste of what's trendy in Asian cuisine. The honeydew bubble tea is a pale green, milky iced tea, sweet and refreshing, with chewy tapioca "pearls" or "bubbles." It comes in nine flavors and you can make it a smoothie for a small upcharge.
