Dee Snider Surprises March of Dimes with Celebrity Apprentice Donation

Snider presented a check to the charity during a visit to Stony Brook Children's that aired Sunday on national TV.

On Sunday, fans of the TV show "Celebrity Apprentice" got to see rock star Dee Snider visit a children's hospital – , to be exact – to surprise the March of Dimes charity with a check for $325,000.

For Snider, a Three Village resident, it's a cause near to his own heart, as two of his four children were born prematurely. He has also led the 70-mile-long Bikers for Babies ride on Long Island for about a decade to benefit March of Dimes.

The donation came as a result of Dee Snider's win as project manager on Sunday's episode of "Celebrity Apprentice." This season, the contestants are fighting not for a chance at a job with the Trump Organization, but rather for the goal of raising money for their charities of choice.

“It’s people like Dee, who know too well the fear and uncertainty of having a baby in the newborn intensive care unit, who can do the most to help other families have full-term, healthy babies,” Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, president of March of Dimes, said in a statement.
