Three Village Teens Honored as Eagle Scouts

Six young men achieve top scout status.

Suffolk County Legis. Kara Hahn, D-Setauket, lauded six teens from Setauket and Stony Brook who have recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

For his project, Andrew Buzzanca restored a historic ring that at one point was used by the Setauket Fire Department to alert residents of fires; he also constructed benches around the area for people to enjoy.

Nicholas Vitale designed and built rolling book cases for the North Shore Jewish Center's library.

Mark Robert D’Angio designed, built and installed two informational kiosks for the Town of Brookhaven at West Meadow Beach.

Ian James O’Brien constructed two planters and designed, built and installed a sign organizer at Temple Isaiah.

Nicholas Robert Pinella designed and installed a small educational pond for the Biology Department at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School.

Christopher Joseph Trinkle created a quiet sitting area at Hope House Ministries’ Residential Community House by constructing and installing benches within a sitting area.
