Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet "A"-Lister Amore

If taking it easy is your thing, stop by Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue and meet Amore, an older yellow lab who is up for adoption.

This weekend is the “A” List Weekend at Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue in Port Jefferson, where the adoption fee is waived for dogs with names beginning with the letter "A," and for all cats that have been at the shelter for over a year. One of these A-list pooches is Amore, a handsome older yellow Labrador Retriever.

As an adult, Amore is past his playful puppy years and has become a relaxed little guy whom staff say say is sweet and “no trouble at all” to care for. He enjoys going for walks, but would really love to just be pet and have a warm bed to sleep in.

Amore is neutered, house-trained, and up-to-date with all of his routine shots.
