As a dry and unseasonably warm spring has pushed Long Island into a severe drought, the signs of the water shortage could be seen in a drainage pond at Monday.
The water line at the pond, home to several geese and ducks, is visibly lower based on the amount of sandy shore along the edges of the body of water.
The U.S. Drought Monitor has declared Nassau and Suffolk Counties in a severe drought after rainfall limits registered 4 inches to 6 inches below the normal 60-day range.
How are you coping with the drought? Are you trying to conserve water?
