Patch Picks: Dinner, Drinks, and Dancing for St. Patrick's Day

Where to go to celebrate being, or just pretend to be, Irish.

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we bring you a special Wednesday edition of Patch Picks. Here are a few local hotspots to help you celebrate the holiday.

  • A St. Patrick's Day family festival is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Stony Brook Village Center on Wednesday evening, with performances, food, activities for the kids and more. For more information, call 631-689-5888.
  • is offering an Irish three-course meal with beer tasting on Thursday. For $26 ($41 if you include the beer) you get traditional eats like corned beef and cabbage with Irish soda bread. Starts at noon.
  • Splyt Roast will be performing a St. Patrick's Day show at starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday. Cover charge is $9, 21 and over.
  • Feeling like an Irish buffet? Head down to on Thursday for all the corned beef and cabbage you can eat along with fish and chips and other foods. Buffet runs from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. for $15.95 and will feature a DJ later in the night.
  • Mulcahy's of Centereach will have Into the Woods performing Thursday night and DJ Fresh spinning between sets. WBLI is broadcasting live from the venue from 11 p.m. through 1 a.m. and features $2.50 drink specials until midnight.
  • is offering a special dinner menu on Thursday with corned beef and cabbage. DJ and dancing follows immediately afterward.
