Oct. 27: Former President Bill Clinton to Rally at Stony Brook

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton headlines Wednesday's "5 Things You Need to Know Today." Beyond that, the keywords of the day are music, politics and literature.

1. Clinton will rally at Stony Brook University for U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop, D-Southampton, who is running for re-election against Republican challenger Randy Altschuler. The action kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at the Indoor Sports Complex.

2. While you're on campus, you can attend a concert by Stony Brook composers at the Staller Center at 8 p.m.

3. If it's music you're interested in, you have options. A fall concert in strings will take place at Ward Melville High School at 7:30 p.m.
