March 10: Village Board Meets, Legislator to Speak

Here's what's happening Thursday in Three Village.

This week probably comes close to setting a record for the most number of local meetings in a five-day span. The trend continues Thursday with at least three more, plus other events you can find listed in our calendar.

1. The Village of Poquott will hold its board meeting at 7 p.m. at on Birchwood Avenue. The meeting is open to Poquott residents.

2. If you're into local politics, head over to the at 7:30 p.m., where the presiding officer of the Suffolk County legislature, Bill Lindsay, D-Holbrook, will be speaking to the about general legislative matters.

3. One more meeting for the record: . This diverse group of professionals who seek to become leaders through communication holds an open meeting twice per month at Stony Brook University.
