Where/When: – Stony Brook, Friday, May 20 at 2:15 p.m., Saturday, May 21 at 3:15 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 at 4 p.m.
Why Go: Experience and embrace the ecology, geology and history of Stony Brook Harbor and the nearby wetlands at West Meadow Creek.

  • CONTRACTORS FOR KIDS, AND THREE VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT’S 4th ANNUAL 5K RUN/WALK

Where/When: R.C. Murphy Junior High School – Stony Brook, Saturday, May 21 at 8:15 a.m.
Why Go:  This year is to support Murphy students Kelsey Cohen and Kristina Heinzer, who were recently diagnosed with cancer. Event will take place rain or shine.

  • CENTURIES OF PROGRESS AT THE LONG ISLAND MUSEUM

Where/When: The Long Island Museum – Stony Brook, Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, May 22 from 12 – 5 p.m.
Why Go: The Long Island Museum presents Centuries of Progress: America’s World’s Fairs, 1853 – 1982.
Price: Adults, $9; seniors, $7; Children aged 6-17 and college students, $4; children under 6 and Museum members, free
