Feb. 4: Film and Poetry Lovers, Friday is Your Day

Here's what's happening Friday in Three Village.

There's so much happening in Three Village that it's sometimes hard to condense it into a daily top five. That's one reason we recently launched a new weekend planner that will specifically detail the coolest events in town. We'll still continue to bring you a daily top five between Monday and Friday, and today's is all about poetry and film.

1. The Social Network is one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2010. See it for free at an , starting at 2 p.m.

2. If you're really into films, you can catch not only the library's matinee but also a double feature at the Staller Center. Waiting for Superman will screen at 7 p.m. and Lebanon will play at 9:30 p.m.

3. Lovers of poetry can take their pick from two different events happening on Friday. Student poets can attend a happening at Murphy Junior High, and at the library, Ward Melville students will give , the school's literary magazine.
