1. According to the New York Blood Center, nearly 2,000 donations of blood and blood components are needed every day in the New York and New Jersey area. You can help support that need by , which is sponsoring a blood drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. today. 2. A down Trustees Road at West Meadow Beach is set for 7 p.m. It's kid-friendly, but weather-permitting and requires registration.
