April 12: School Board Expected to Vote on Budget Adoption

Here's what's happening Tuesday in Three Village.

There's a little over a month until Long Island communities vote on their public school budgets, and in Three Village, the school board is expected to vote on its adoption Tuesday night. Along with a bone marrow drive, tax grievance seminar and more, Tuesday could be a big day.

1. Through six workshop sessions, the Three Village school board has arrived at a draft budget that includes some reductions from previous years but which is expected to preserve many of the programs which students, parents and professionals alike have fought to keep over the last several weeks. The board will vote on the adoption of this budget, which could carry with it a , at an 8 p.m. meeting at the North Country Administration Center. The last few meetings have been fairly crowded, so be sure to arrive early to get a seat.

3. The third in a series of bone marrow drives for a 15-year-old suffering from Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia will take place Tuesday at Stony Brook University. The event is set for .
