10 Places to Eat Christmas Dinner Out

Where to eat if a Christmas dinner at home is out of the question.

We've all seen A Christmas Story; sometimes, extenuating circumstances make preparing Christmas dinner impossible. If that's the case for you this year, there are 10 places you can go in or around the Three Village area for a lovely evening out with the family on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

If Thai is your thing, then you can bring the family to on Route 25A across from the train station during their normal Saturday hours from noon to 11 p.m. If you're looking for something casual, is open for business from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

If you think hibachi can lead to some Christmas fun for the family, then is the place to go, open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. For sushi lovers, Three Village offers two options: on Route 25A, open from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and on Stony Brook Road, open from 11:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

If you're looking for some more variety, on Old Town Road is open from 11:30 a.m to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. for traditional Indian dishes and vegetarian specials. on Route 25A is also serving lunch and dinner at its normal hours.

While at Three Village Inn isn't open on Christmas day, you can head there the night before for a Christmas Eve grand buffet dinner; just be sure to call and make your reservations ahead of time. If you don't mind traveling just outside Three Village, in Port Jefferson offers Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners. Christmas Eve dinner begins at 5 p.m., featuring the full menu, and a Christmas Day dinner buffet will be held at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. Call 631-928-5200 for more information or to make your reservation.

Lastly, if you don't mind taking a little trip, (631-385-8486) at 7 Gerard St. in Huntington won't be open on Christmas Day but offers a special holiday menu on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m.

Yes TC change is difficult but it has to start somewhere. What motivation does the BOE have toRead More change when we keep passing the budgets? Budgets have to fail, programs have to be cut before there will be any union negotiations. Many have to lose their jobs before they will allow their pay to be cut. Sounds harsh but it's reality. Our children will survive cuts, be educated and successful - even with less programs.
