Judge Ukeiley Addresses Housing Issues at Touro Disaster Relief Clinic

On Monday, March 17, 2014, Acting County Court Judge Stephen Ukeiley will participate in a panel discussion presented by the Touro Law Center Student Disaster Relief Network on Post-Super Storm Sandy Litigation. Ukeiley's remarks will focus on housing issues caused by the storm.

"Super Storm Sandy caused 'moderate' to 'heavy' damage to well in excess of 125,000 homes within our communities and resulted in many more untold tragedies and unanticipated relocations" said Ukeiley.  "Participating in this event along with the distinguished members of the panel will hopefully provide those representing both owners and occupants affected by the storm with much needed information about the legal process".

The discussion will take place at Touro Law Center in Central Islip.  Joining Judge Ukeiley on the panel are Thomas Maligno, Executive Director of the Public Advocacy Center, Professor Benjamin Rajotte, Director of the Disaster Relief Clinic, and Jack Evans, Jr., Staff Attorney, Law Office of the Public advocacy Center.
