Kohl's Employee Charged with Theft; Mailbox Mischief Reported in Stony Brook
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• Brittany Egan, 18, of Selden, was arrested Sept. 5 in East Setauket and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Police said she stole money from cash registers while working at Kohl's between Aug. 20 and Sept. 2.
• A resident of Stratton Lane in Stony Brook reported Sept. 3 that someone removed the mailbox from the property and placed it inside a neighbor's unlocked car. The incident is thought to have occurred at around 10:30 p.m.
• A 20-year-old woman from South Setauket was arrested Sept. 3 at her home in South Setauket and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said she knowingly was driving with three or more license suspensions. The woman was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it, a traffic violation, after she injured a motorcycle driver in a crash on Middle Country Road in Centereach.
