Cops: Man Shot, Killed in Setauket Home

Resident of the home said the gunshot came through a window.

A Setauket man was shot and killed in his Setauket home Tuesday night, and Suffolk County homicide detectives are still investigating the shooting.

According to police, a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot at 62 Upper Sheep Pasture Road. Police arrived and found homeowner Ross Reisner, 50, with a gunshot in his chest. Another resident of the home said the gunshot came through a window.

Reisner was later pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.
