Local Kids Raise Hundreds in Lemonade Stand Fundraiser
Money raised will go to Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital.
Kids on Spencer Lane in Stony Brook's "S Section" came together on Friday for a lemonade stand fundraiser to support Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital. Their lemonade stand almost didn't happen because of the thunder, lightning and rain. But in the end, the weather cooperated and their neighbors enjoyed the lemonade as the kids learned an important lesson about community service.
