Craftworks: Nuno Felting

Learn the basic techniques of Nuno felting. (“Nuno” is Japanese for “Fabric”) This felting technique was developed in the early 90′s and combines wool with a loose, open weave material in order to create a light weight fabric. Students will create a beautiful scarf, wall hanging or unique panel of fabric that can be sewn into a bag or pillow case etc.  Along with the history of nuno felting, discussion will include some of the other natural fabrics that can be incorporated with wool in order to create other interesting textures.
